Respiratory Therapist / RT

Relient Health seeks a caring and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to work in a great Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This opening is for a full-time, permanent position.

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

    • Conduct thorough assessments and monitor vital signs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions:

    • Administer prescribed treatments and therapies.
  • Ventilator Management:

    • Set up and manage mechanical ventilators.
  • Patient Education:

    • Provide education on respiratory conditions and self-care.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:

    • Work with healthcare team and maintain accurate records.
  • Emergency Response and Safety:

    • Respond to emergencies and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure:

    • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; current state licensure as RRT or CRT.
  • Clinical Expertise:

    • Proficient in assessing, diagnosing, and treating respiratory conditions prevalent in elderly populations.
  • Ventilator Management:

    • Skilled in providing ventilator support, weaning protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • Patient Education & Communication:

    • Effective communicator in educating patients/families on respiratory conditions and self-care.
  • Team Collaboration & Safety:

    • Collaborates seamlessly in interdisciplinary teams; adept in infection control and safety protocols.
